Return By
Privacy Policy
Return By is designed to work without an app account, advertising or analytics. The developer does not operate a server that receives your purchase records.
Data you add
You may enter item names, stores, prices, currencies, dates, order and tracking numbers, notes, return status and photos. This information is stored on your device.
Optional iCloud sync
If you enable iCloud sync, your records and attached photos are stored in your private iCloud database and processed by Apple to synchronize your devices. The developer does not use this data for advertising, analytics or profiling. You can disable sync or delete synchronized data from the app’s Settings screen.
Notifications
Return By can schedule local reminders for deadlines and expected refunds after you grant permission. Reminder content is generated on your device. You can disable reminders in the app or in system Settings.
In-App Purchase
The optional Return By Pro purchase is processed by Apple through the App Store. The app receives transaction and entitlement information needed to unlock Pro. Apple handles payment information under its own privacy policy.
Diagnostics and tracking
Return By contains no third-party advertising or analytics SDKs and does not track you across apps or websites. Apple may provide aggregated App Store or diagnostic information according to your Apple settings and Apple’s policies.
Retention and deletion
Local data remains until you delete individual records, delete all data in Settings or remove the app. iCloud data remains in your private database until it is deleted through Return By or your iCloud account. A minimal deletion marker may synchronize temporarily to prevent an old copy from restoring a deleted record.
Children
Return By is a general utility and is not directed to children. The developer does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version and effective date will be published on this page.
